Neckarsulm begins twelve-month, city-wide pilot of sovereign AI with Intric

The city of Neckarsulm has begun a twelve-month, city-wide pilot of Intric's sovereign AI platform, with all data and operations remaining under the city's own control throughout the deployment.
– With Intric, we as a municipality have found a secure way to deploy large language models in a targeted way for our staff. The platform can be adapted to our specific administrative tasks while giving us the control over our data that we need in the public sector, says Julian Dierstein, Head of Organization and Digitalization, Stadt Neckarsulm.
Pilot scope and operational focus
The pilot makes AI assistants available to staff across every department of the Stadtverwaltung Neckarsulm and runs for twelve months. Use cases under evaluation include preparation of departmental decisions, citizen correspondence, internal documentation, and knowledge sharing across the Stadtverwaltung. The rollout is coordinated by Bennet Püschel, IT Project Manager at Stadt Neckarsulm.
Sovereign infrastructure for German municipal administration
The Neckarsulm deployment puts Intric in front of the entire operational range of a German Stadtverwaltung, from registry services to building permits to social administration, while keeping all data and operations within the city's own infrastructure.
– German municipalities run the public services citizens encounter most directly. Their staff need tools that work in real administrative practice, on infrastructure that does not move data outside the institution. The pilot in Neckarsulm puts that to a city-wide test from day one, says David Wallén, CEO of Intric.
