Eggsplain and Intric enter into a partnership: AI on your premise – with the freedom to choose where it runs.

Swedish companies Eggsplain and Intric together offer an opportunity for the public sector to use AI on its own terms. Entirely locally, or orchestrated to the data center preferred by the organization.

The public sector faces a complex balancing act. The demand for AI is increasing rapidly, yet requirements under GDPR, NIS2, and the EU AI Act demand full control over where data is processed. When organizations want to use advanced AI, questions around data sovereignty frequently arise, particularly in environments where standard public clouds entail risks regarding third-country access or vendor lock-in.

An increasing number of municipalities, regions, and government agencies are arriving at the same conclusion: it is the organization that should determine where AI runs, not the vendor. This is the background to Eggsplain and Intric now initiating a partnership, deploying the Intric platform on Eggsplain’s infrastructure.

For customers, this means the trade-off between AI capabilities and data control is eliminated. Sensitive data is processed on-premises, even in an isolated environment. Other workloads can be placed wherever it best suits the organization. The customer holds the keys, at all times.
